Hello, welcome, this is be the beginning of the documentation of my path in InfoSec. I will be uploading what I am learning, I will be writing WriteUps as I solve HTB machines/boxes and explain what I did to complete or pwn them. Basically this will be like my diary, thanks :)

Update 05 Dec 2021

I signed up to Mastermind to do the S4vitar hacking courses, at the moment I'm doing the introduction to Ethical Hacking and I'm missing one lesson to finish the "basic concepts" module. The truth is that I have learned a lot watching his live streams, YouTube videos and this course I mentioned before, there is still a lot more to learn but we keep on going.

Also today 06 Dec 2021 I plan to start my first machine in HTB to see how it goes, I will not WriteUp that one because it is a StartingPoint and I think it does not deserve it, besides it is very simple (in theory). Also, I will finish the basic concepts module of s4vitar's Introduction to Ethical Hacking course.

Update 13 Dec 2021

Well, look, the truth is that some very bizarre things happened this week. As I mentioned in the last update, I had planned to make my first planned to make my first Hack The Box machine, and indeed, I made 5, I finished the Tier 0 machines of the Starting Point of HTB platform. I say it was bizarre because I uploaded a video solving one of these Tier 0 machines to YouTube to show it to a friend and, after 5 days it currently has 139 views, which I did not expect.

This motivates me to continue uploading walkthroughs of the machines I solve. Currently I have uploaded two machines. Is important to mention that not all the machines that I solve will be uploaded to YouTube, but I plan that out of every 5 that I solve at least 2 or 3. This also motivated me to make WriteUps of the machines I do. Last week I had said I wouldn't do WriteUps of the Starting Point machines, but now that I see that people have seen the videos I decided to do walkthroughs no matter how simple the machines are and then upload them to YouTube.

Continuing with the course of Introduction to Ethical Hacking of s4vitar, this week I could not advance so much, but I will recover the hours I could not invest. I've already started the Pentesting module but I'm not going at the pace I would like.

Update 16 Feb 2022

A lot has happened since the last update, I've come a long way and a lot has happened. Currently I have 5 Hack The Box machines already rooted. All 5 have been easy, however, right now I'm with the Meta machine which has a Medium difficulty. I have been uploading walkthroughs to YouTube and they have had a lot of support in my opinion, at least they have been going better than I expected at the beginning. At this moment I have 82 subscribers and with videos mainly about machine's resolutions, but I also have some tutorials to teach people how to implement functions to their zshrc or bashrc. The last video I uploaded is an explanation of what is PATH Hijacking along with an example of exploitation. I plan to do more tutorials like that, for example, explaining different ways to escalate privileges in linux.

Another idea is to make videos explaining what Hack The Box is and how to connect to the different VPNs on the platform to access the different labs available.

Also, I just started to look for a job related to cybersecurity.
